Position Summary:
The HR Generalist provides comprehensive human resources support to the facility management team, covering full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, benefits, compliance, and HR reporting. This role partners closely with management, HR business partners, and Centers of Excellence to align HR practices with company goals and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and administer HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment laws.

  • Manage employee relations, conduct internal investigations, and provide guidance to managers.

  • Oversee recruitment processes including sourcing, interviewing, background checks, onboarding, and orientation.

  • Administer benefits programs, annual enrollment, and leave of absence management (including FMLA).

  • Maintain and update employee records in SAP/HRIS, ensuring accurate payroll data transfer to ADP.

  • Prepare HR reports (EEO-1, AAP logs, headcount) and maintain compliance documentation.

  • Support union-related processes, including grievances and contract adherence (if applicable).

  • Facilitate HR-related meetings, training sessions, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Partner with temporary staffing providers to meet workforce needs.

  • Promote wellness programs and coordinate health-related activities (screenings, flu shots).

  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive employee information.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Associate degree considered with experience).

  • Minimum 5 years HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with SAP and/or ADP preferred.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • PHR/SPHR certification a plus.

  • Experience in a union environment a plus.
