Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer to support a nationwide initiative involving wireless site surveys, network mapping, and remediation across 22 plant locations in the U.S. This is a remote role, but candidates must be located near a major airport and be willing to travel extensively to the client sites. Skills/Experience:
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform physical audits of existing network infrastructure.
Document network topology, cabling, and hardware configurations.
Create detailed network diagrams using industry-standard tools.
Maintain accurate records of network assets and configurations.
Conduct comprehensive wireless site surveys using tools such as Ekahau or AirMagnet.
Identify coverage gaps, interference sources, and optimization opportunities.
Provide actionable recommendations for wired and wireless improvements.
Work closely with *** Network Architect and L2 Engineers to address findings.
Collaborate with Controls, Engineering, and Smart Factory teams to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues affecting production systems.
Propose and implement solutions for Cisco LAN, FortiGate firewall, and Aruba wireless issues.
