Pricing Analyst

Opportunity Summary:

The Pre-Pricing Specialist plays a key role in managing and optimizing the pricing process for new and existing customers and products. This position is responsible for generating competitive pricing estimates, managing requests for quotations (RFQs), and collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to maximize profitability. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized with strong Excel and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage standard cost estimates for new items and re-price existing items due to changes in specifications

• Process all RFQs from customers in a timely and accurate manner

• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to optimize pricing strategies and improve profit margins

• Ensure pricing on all customer orders is up to date and reflects current cost and production realities

• Analyze customer specifications to determine if production is feasible at the current plant or if internal supplier support is needed

• Validate pricing proposals for accuracy and ensure alignment with customer production requirements

• Understand and stay up-to-date on plant manufacturing processes and equipment capabilities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field

• Prior experience in the Paper Manufacturing industry or a related field preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to all levels of the organization

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies or errors

• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
