Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager II is responsible for independently planning, managing, and delivering multiple complex medium to large-scale projects across departments, service centers, and client locations. This highly visible role serves as the single point of accountability for assigned projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality outcomes using standardized project controls and methodologies.

The ideal candidate excels in stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, cross-functional coordination, and project governance. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and navigate both technical and business challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison and communicator with business owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Develop and maintain strategic project documents including charters, communication plans, and detailed project schedules.

  • Lead project planning, execution, progress reporting, and issue resolution efforts.

  • Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.

  • Oversee project deliverables from initiation through closure to ensure alignment with goals, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Mentor and support team members in applying project management best practices and controls.

  • Facilitate decision-making processes and promote stakeholder consensus.

  • Manage project budgets, track performance, and ensure financial targets are met.

  • Create implementation materials such as toolkits, checklists, and migration schedules.

  • Coordinate staffing, vendor resources, and supply chain logistics as needed.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Project Management: Proficient in managing scope, timelines, resources, and quality using established controls.

  • Organization & Prioritization: Able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in fast-paced environments.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Builds strong relationships and adapts communication to gain commitment.

  • Financial Acumen: Tracks and manages project budgets and financial performance.

  • Facilitation: Leads effective planning and execution sessions with cross-functional teams.

  • Methodologies: Familiar with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid frameworks.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, OneNote, Access)

    • Online collaboration platforms (e.g., WebEx, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive)

    • Project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, MS Planner, Office Timeline)
