Rail Shop
Location: Sanford
Hours: Monday through Friday 7 a.m- 3:30 p.m
Pay: $20
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist welders and supervisors with daily tasks.
- Client out, align, and secure parts using measuring tools.
- Work from route sheets, part drawings, and specifications.
- Set regulating wheel speed and angle, position, and set feed, fixtures, and stops under general supervision.
- Use a variety of precision instruments such as scales, squares, calipers, micrometers, verniers, indicators, and contour gauges.
- Perform quality checks on completed work; work is subject to process and final inspection.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Assist with non-structural welding tasks.
- Operate forklifts and other mechanized equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Work with urgency to support efficient operations.
- May be required to work second or third shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in harsh conditions (heat, noise, confined spaces).
- Physical ability to lift and position heavy parts.
- Basic math and geometry skills.
