Job Summary
This role is for a senior-level Unified Communications (UC) Technician specializing in NEC systems. The person will lead the installation, programming, service, and troubleshooting of NEC-based communication systems (voice, messaging, video, etc.) at client locations, ensuring all systems are functional, secure, and meet client needs.
Must-Have Requirements

6 years of hands-on experience with NEC Unified Communications systems

Proven ability to install, program, service, test, and troubleshoot NEC systems

In-depth knowledge of NEC applications (UC, voicemail, SIP, PRI, etc.)

Strong understanding of networking protocols, cabling, and system performance

Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation

Ability to travel to client sites; valid driver’s license

Strong communication and client-facing skills
Preferred Skills

Experience with Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, Mitel/ShoreTel, or Unify UC systems

Associate degree or certifications in a technical discipline

Familiarity with cloud-hosted communication platforms

Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, remote access, and security practices

Team leadership and project support experience
