Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Position Summary:
An industry leader in the manufacturing equipment provider industry is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to help support business development and revenue growth. This position requires a high-performing professional with a technical knowledge of industrial and manufacturing equipment.
 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead product and technology advancement initiatives; provide internal training and knowledge sharing on evolving systems and solutions.
  • Serve as a technical expert in pre-sales activities, offering engineering support to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Interpret and analyze building plans, specifications, and mechanical system requirements to support solution development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, engineers, and architects to ensure long-term business success and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with sales personnel to assess client needs, develop customized solutions, and coordinate support across departments.
  • Conduct in-depth technical presentations and demonstrations for prospective and current clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and participate in strategic planning to drive top-line growth.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute insights to improve sales performance and client satisfaction.
  • Support content development for marketing materials, website, and social media platforms.
  • Represent the company at industry association meetings, events, and job sites as needed.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and communications using CRM software.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and assist in closing deals in partnership with the sales team.
  • Manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously, both in-office and on-site.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, customer support, or engineering within the boiler, HVAC, or steam equipment industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASME, UL, and NFPA codes and standards is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver technical presentations to diverse audiences.
