Custodian
Fremont, Ohio
Pay: $17.00/hr
Schedule: 7am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday
A client of ours in the Fremont, Ohio area is seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join there team. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of the facility. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our employees, visitors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, carpets, and surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning products.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Shoveling and salting entrances, walkways and emergency exits during the colder months.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Assist with setup and teardown for company events or meetings as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stored and maintained properly.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work within established guidelines.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screen.
