Position: Accounting Manager / Controller

Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Accounting Manager / Controller to oversee the financial operations and ensure accurate and timely reporting for multiple business units. This role will be responsible for leading accounting staff, managing the close process, maintaining internal controls, and partnering with senior leadership to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff; provide regular training, feedback, and performance evaluations

  • Oversee general accounting functions, including journal entries, cost accounting, AP/AR review, and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

  • Serve as the key liaison for external and internal audits; oversee audit schedules, documentation, and fixed asset reconciliations

  • Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency

  • Analyze capital expenditures, prepare supporting documentation for capital requests, and provide insights on project budgets vs. actuals

  • Drive process improvement and best practice implementation across U.S. and international business units

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed to support business decisions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or audit (supervisory experience strongly preferred)

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting operations within a multi-entity or international environment
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish)

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly across all levels of the organization

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
