Manufacturing Manager

Location: West Henrietta, NY (On-site, full-time)

A manufacturing company in the Rochester area is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives at its West Henrietta facility. This is a site-based role that plays a critical part in managing day-to-day manufacturing activities and driving strategic initiatives across production, quality, safety, and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
Lead and coach production supervisors and team leads to ensure effective team performance.
Champion lean manufacturing principles and drive process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Implement data-driven decision-making through KPI tracking and analysis.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and quality to support operational goals.
Support budget planning, cost control, and long-term strategic manufacturing initiatives.
Mentor and develop team members to build future leadership.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
Background in optics or high-precision manufacturing is a plus.
Proven ability to lead teams through change and process improvements.
Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and related methodologies.
Strong ERP systems experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
