Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: On-site (Facility Office Based)
Reports To: Controller
Supervision: Minimal – must be able to work independently
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing weekly financial projections, month-end journal entries, monthly financial reports, and reconciliations. This role also assists with budgeting worksheets and supports the Market Controller and Assistant Controller on various financial projects and departmental productivity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post month-end journal entries

Complete balance sheet account reconciliations

Assist with weekly financial projections

Prepare monthly Management Operating Reports (MOR)

Perform daily cash verifications

Reconcile fixed assets
-
Conduct quarterly SOX security reviews and checklist audits

Perform miscellaneous clerical duties as needed

Support Market Controllers and Assistant Controller on special projects
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Licensure/Certification: None required
Skills & Competencies

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas), Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

Familiarity with HOST and SAGE/FAS systems preferred
