Job Description
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Private Wireless Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable private wireless networks (e.g., LTE, 5G) to support mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have experience deploying private cellular systems (CBRS, 4G/5G), integrating with enterprise IT infrastructure, and optimizing wireless performance for large-scale environments such as campuses, factories, warehouses, or remote sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deploy private LTE/5G networks using licensed or unlicensed spectrum (e.g., CBRS)
• Conduct RF site surveys, spectrum planning, and coverage modeling
• Configure and manage EPC/core network elements, RAN equipment, and backhaul integration
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate private wireless networks with LAN/WAN, security, and cloud systems
• Troubleshoot wireless performance, optimize QoS, and resolve interference or handover issues
• Ensure compliance with FCC, CBRS SAS (Spectrum Access System), and local regulatory requirements
• Evaluate and recommend wireless hardware, software, and infrastructure vendors
• Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures
• Provide support and training to field personnel and IT teams
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field is preferred
• 3 years of experience in wireless networking, preferably in private LTE/5G environments
• Hands-on experience with CBRS, RAN, eNodeB/gNodeB, and EPC/5GC components
• Proficient in RF design tools (e.g., iBwave, Ekahau, Atoll)
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, QoS, and IP routing
• Experience with Nokia, Ericsson, Mavenir, or similar private wireless vendors
• Familiarity with SAS providers (e.g., Federated Wireless, Google)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications such as CWNA, CWSP, or vendor-specific LTE/5G credentials
• Experience with edge computing, IoT, and industrial automation over private wireless
• Knowledge of security best practices for wireless and mobile networks
