This role involves operating machinery that flattens and levels steel coil to meet customer specifications. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate the leveler line to process steel coils into flat sheet or plate material

Monitor line performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards

Perform visual and dimensional inspections on processed material using measuring tools

Assist with coil loading/unloading using overhead cranes or forklifts

Identify and remove defective material

Maintain accurate production records, including coil numbers and material specs

Conduct routine maintenance checks and report equipment issues promptly

Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:

Experience operating industrial machinery in a steel or metals processing environment preferred

Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues

Proficient with tape measures, calipers, and micrometers

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

Crane and forklift experience is a plus

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must be reliable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
