Job Summary:

The Tablet Compression Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and cleaning tablet press machines used in the pharmaceutical or nutraceutical manufacturing process. This role ensures products are produced according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety regulations.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate tablet compression machines (e.g., Fette, Manesty, Korsch, etc.).

  • Monitor tablet quality during production for weight, hardness, thickness, and appearance.

  • Perform in-process testing and record results accurately.

  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make minor mechanical adjustments as needed.

  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas according to SOPs.

  • Follow batch records and manufacturing instructions precisely.

  • Ensure production goals are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and logbooks.

  • Work with Quality Assurance and Maintenance teams to resolve production issues.

  • Adhere to cGMP, FDA, and company safety standards at all times.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Prior experience in tablet compression or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.

  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA regulations, and SOPs.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain documentation.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.


Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, clean-room production environment.

  • Exposure to noise, powders, and machinery.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
