Key Responsibilities
- Setup and operate press brake or bending machines to shape and form metal according to technical drawings or other machines including lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce quality parts
- Intermediate identification and knowledge of basic fixtures, changing fixtures, tooling, and tooling offsets.
- Intermediate knowledge of reading production instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpreting and translating engineering designs and documentation.
- Understand G and M Codes and make necessary edits for speeds/feeds.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
- Collaborates with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve production processes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous CNC machine operations in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with micrometers, calipers and other measuring devises
- Basic math skills along with mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow verbal and written directions.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
