Job Title: General Laborer

Location: Rochester, NY

Summary: Join our team as a General Laborer, where you will play a key role in supporting operations by preparing and cleaning work sites, maintaining supplies and materials, and assisting in various work processes. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position offering a Monday–Thursday schedule with 10-hour shifts. Shift:

• 1st Shift: Flexible start time between 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM
• End time: 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, or 4:00 PM (depending on start time)
• Monday – Thursday (Four 10-hour days)

Pay:

• $19.00 an Hour

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Organize work by checking the daily schedule.
• Prepare work sites by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing scrap, sweeping, mopping, and disposing of hazardous materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations by following procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain work supplies by locating, verifying, loading, and transporting materials to designated areas.
• Assist with work processes, including inspecting, preparing, sorting, weighing, measuring, cutting, adding, trimming, and loading materials.
• Keep accurate work records by entering production data and tracking material usage.
• Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and look for opportunities to add value to company goals.

Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing, general labor, inventory control, or equipment maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate power tools and janitorial equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills for measuring, weighing, and counting materials.
• Capable of lifting and moving materials throughout the shift.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Regular exposure to dust, fumes, airborne particles, and industrial chemicals.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and using hands for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
