Welder
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Starting Pay: $16.75/hr
Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for performing a wide range of welding and metal fabrication tasks using various equipment, machinery, and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and operate welding and fabrication equipment, including MIG, TIG, gas, and plasma welders.
- Select appropriate welding materials and techniques for each project.
- Operate sanders, grinders, and other finishing tools.
- Align and position parts accurately according to specifications.
- Inspect work and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor production quality and detect faulty operations or defective materials.
- Keep equipment clean and maintained in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate production and related records as required.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures; use all required safety equipment.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Previous welding experience or a welding certification is required.
- Ability to read, write, and follow work orders and instructions.
- Proficiency using measuring tools such as a tape measure.
- Ability to inspect materials for defects.
- Must be able to lift up to 95 pounds intermittently and slide up to 160 pounds intermittently.
- Capable of repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, stretching, and twisting.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
