We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of tasks involving facility upkeep, equipment repairs, and general building maintenance. This hands-on role supports both production and facility operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, basic electrical, light welding, carpentry, and grounds keeping .

Install, maintain, and repair facility equipment such as compressors, water towers, HVAC systems, fans, elevators, and lifts.

Maintain and service production equipment like forklifts, grinders, dust collectors, hoists, and stretch wrap machines.

Maintain company vehicles and respond to emergency equipment issues on a rotating on-call basis (including holidays if necessary).

Complete daily maintenance logs and follow work orders and schematics with minimal supervision.

Follow all EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and use of PPE.

Practice safe work habits and support continuous improvement in safety and quality standards.

Support FDA GMPs, SQF, and product safety standards in food-contact environments.
Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications (welding, boiler, auto repair, etc.) a plus.

8 years of relevant maintenance experience.

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

Comfortable using schematics, blueprints, and meters for diagnostics and repairs.

Valid CT driver's license required; ability to drive a plow truck preferred.

Ability to lift, climb ladders, and occasionally work at heights over 10'.

Basic math and computer skills; experience with electronic testing equipment a plus.
