Winder Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring winding machinery used in the production of plastic film and related products. This role ensures proper winding, labeling, and packaging of finished goods while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor winding equipment to wind film onto cores per job specifications- Inspect film for quality defects such as wrinkles, telescoping, or improper tension
- Adjust machine settings such as tension, speed, and alignment to ensure quality output
- Cut and remove finished rolls, apply labels, and package per production requirements
- Complete required documentation such as work orders, labels, and production logs
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the winder area and equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members during shift changes
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret production orders and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Pay:
$17.00/hr
Work Schedule:
Rotating shifts 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
