Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced FMLA Administrator to manage all aspects of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) process. This role ensures compliance with federal and state leave laws while providing outstanding support to employees and leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of FMLA regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer and manage the full FMLA process, including leave requests, eligibility determinations, and certification management.

Ensure compliance with federal and state FMLA regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date FMLA records, including leave documentation, medical certifications, and employee notifications.

Provide guidance and support to employees and management on FMLA rights, responsibilities, and processes.

Partner with HR and supervisory teams to ensure consistent and compliant application of FMLA policies.

Update and monitor timekeeping systems to reflect approved FMLA leave accurately.

Deliver FMLA-related training and awareness sessions to employees and managers as needed.

Conduct regular audits of FMLA records and procedures to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Stay current on federal and state FMLA regulations and industry best practices.

Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard employee medical and personal information in accordance with legal and company standards.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in FMLA administration.

In-depth knowledge of FMLA regulations and related leave laws (e.g., ADA, state-specific leave laws).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in HRIS and timekeeping systems such as Workday, Kronos, ADP, or PeopleSoft.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
