Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Electrical Assembler to join our production team. In this role you will assemble complex mechanical and electrical components according to technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, and full systems using
hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics and assembly instructions.
- Perform wiring, crimping, soldering, and routing of cables and wires.
- Install circuit boards, motors, switches, sensors, and other electronic components.
- Conduct functional tests and inspections to ensure assemblies meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical / electrical issues during assembly.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve design or production issues.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly (or similar field).
- Proficient with hand tools, soldering irons, and electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., using ERP systems, reading digital work instructions).
- Ability to lift up to [30-50 lbs], and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPC or J-STD soldering certification.
- Experience in a regulated or ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma.
