Position Summary

The Logistics Claims Senior Specialist plays a crucial role in resolving OS&D (overages, shortages, damages) and product refusal claims reported by carriers. Acting as the primary point of contact in a call center environment, this individual engages directly with drivers and internal stakeholders to manage product disposition decisions efficiently and in compliance with SOPs.

This position directly impacts operational costs by helping avoid carrier accessorial fees and supports logistics KPIs by ensuring accurate data reporting through tools such as High Radius and Power BI. The role includes daily audits, system updates, and coordination with departments including Transportation, FSQA, Shipping, Customer Service, Deductions, and Sustainability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage OS&D and refusal claims with drivers via inbound calls

  • Ensure accurate claim resolution and timely disposition decisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and workflow alignment

  • Maintain active worklists and update transportation and financial systems

  • Process donation receipts and oversee accessorial payments

  • Obtain and verify Proof of Delivery (POD) for all claims

  • Conduct daily audits and report data accuracy in Power BI for internal KPI review

  • Utilize High Radius and related systems to maintain case integrity


Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • BA degree or current enrollment preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year office/clerical experience (3 years preferred)

  • Prior logistics or OS&D claims/customer service experience highly desirable

  • Experience in data collection/analysis is a plus

Communication:

  • Strong written/verbal skills and professional phone presence

  • Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement

  • Able to clearly explain complex issues and decisions

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • High Radius, SAP TM, TES, DB2 Sessions

  • Power BI for reporting and audit tracking

  • Familiarity with call center systems (e.g., Five9)

  • Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-audit for accuracy
