Job Title: Purchasing Agent

Location: Solon, Ohio
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 (Actual salary based on experience)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Position Overview:

As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for purchasing products and materials for the company, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring inventory meets demand. This position is ideal for someone with some purchasing experience, but not too much, who is looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with existing vendors and suppliers. Ensure timely deliveries and manage purchase orders.

  • Product Sourcing: Work closely with customers to determine product needs and make the necessary purchases based on those requirements.

  • Inventory Management: Track inventory levels and coordinate product restocking to avoid shortages.

  • Order Placement: Handle the end-to-end order process, including submitting purchase orders, managing shipments, and ensuring items are delivered on time.

  • System Usage: Work within an established, legacy system for order processing. While the system may not be as modern as others, your ability to navigate and efficiently use it is essential to the role.

  • Collaboration: You will work closely with other departments and report to leadership, who are very hands-on in daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Some purchasing or procurement experience preferred, but we are open to candidates with a bit less experience who are eager to learn.

  • Electronic Experience: While not required, experience in the electronics industry is a plus. Candidates without this experience will start at the lower end of the salary range.

  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with basic purchasing systems is helpful, but be prepared to work within a more traditional system.

  • Attention to Detail: The ability to juggle multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy in order placement and inventory tracking.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage vendor relations and internal communication.

Why Join Us?

  • Collaborative Environment: Work closely with experienced professionals in a supportive setting.

  • Growth Opportunity: While this role requires some experience, there's ample opportunity for learning and growth.

  • Stability: A well-established company with a steady customer base.

  • Hands-On Leadership: Expect regular interaction with leadership who are deeply involved in day-to-day operations.
