Electronics Engineer – RF Filters & Analog Design
Location: Amherst NH

Reports To: Owner / Principal Engineer
We are a long-standing manufacturer of custom electronic filters serving clients in aerospace, defense, telecommunications, or other. With a strong reputation for engineering precision and deep technical knowledge, our company combines design, prototyping, and production under one roof. As the current owner considers the next phase of the company, we are looking to bring on an experienced electronics engineer to help support and eventually lead critical design and production responsibilities.
The Electronics Engineer will design, test, and troubleshoot analog circuits and RF filters, power converters, RF signal manipulation and contribute to custom product development, and support production work in a small, specialized lab like environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical engineering skills and an interest in becoming a key contributor in a highly respected niche business.
- Design and develop analog circuits and RF filters to 10 GHz (LC, ceramic, etc.)
- Create and review schematics, layouts, and bill of materials, read and understand MIL-STD-XXX
- Assemble prototypes and perform testing with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
- Troubleshoot and support existing product lines and customer-specific configurations
- Maintain and improve documentation of legacy designs
- Interface with customers or suppliers as needed for technical input
- Provide support for production
- Participate in knowledge transfer from the principal engineer
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience in analog or RF circuit design
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
- Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., Spice, SolidWorks, CAD)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and practical, hands-on ability
- Ability to work independently and wear multiple hats in a small team environment
- U.S. citizenship is required for compliance with certain client contracts
- Experience in EMI filtering, impedance matching, or high-frequency design
- Knowledge of military or aerospace specs
