The Quality Test Technician is responsible to support Rx Quality functional release testing. These activities include supporting QC/QA to ensure the timely release; coordination of samples delivery/shipment between sites, support validation activities to qualify new or existing product lines in accordance with defined requirements, and customer expectations at the Congers, NY facility.
The Test Technician will also be involved in supporting continuous improvement initiatives
in accordance with ISO 15378, and other Quality Department compliance activities.
Detailed Description:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform routine functional testing of all Rx & CHC products by following appropriate quality documentation.
• Assist in investigations related to Lab out of specification (OOS) results and nonconformities. Support Production investigations.
• Support lab equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Ability to use high magnification microscopes and measurement tools.
• Participate in preparing/reviewing Work Instructions and other documentation.
• Assist with test and measurement method transfers.
• Support validation activities.
• Track test results and lab reagents/supplies.
• Support audits and department activity to comply with ISO Standards
• Maintain strong communications with the Quality Control, QA and RTC Departments to help resolve quality issues.
• Support site, customer quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
• Associate or Bachelor's degrees in Science or related field; or 1 to 2 years Quality related experience
• Experience with cGMP guidelines and ability to follow complicated procedures and work instructions
• Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
