About the Opportunity
Nesco Resource has been exclusively engaged by a nationally recognized engineering firm to identify a Senior Structural Engineer for a critical contract engagement. This role is ideal for a seasoned structural engineer with a strong background in industrial design, seismic and retrofit engineering, and a proven ability to lead projects independently from start to finish.
- Lead small-scale industrial projects from concept to completion
- Execute seismic and retrofit structural design work per applicable codes
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including internal engineers and external stakeholders
- Conduct site visits based on project location and requirements
- Prepare calculations, reports, and design documents
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship when applicable
- Ensure designs comply with client specifications, safety standards, and local/state codes
- 15 years of experience in industrial structural engineering
- Strong expertise in seismic and retrofit design
- PE License preferred, especially in AL.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver on small-scale engineering projects independently
- Willingness and ability to travel for occasional site visits
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., STAAD, RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent)
