A leading formulator and manufacturer of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants serving the construction and industrial end markets is seeking a Warehouse Associate. The role involves accurate and timely order picking and processing; truck loading and unloading; shipment receipt, condition assessment, and storage; inventory management; electronic and hardcopy document records-keeping; operating and maintaining warehouse equipment; and compliance with business, EH&S, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks.
- Receive and store deliveries accurately and timely.
- Manage and report internal inventory movements.
- Monitor, request, and replenish warehouse supplies as needed.
- Pick, pack, and ship orders.
- Process customer and transfer orders accurately and timely.
- Inspect and verify inbound and outbound shipments for condition and accuracy.
- Identify, segregate, and report damaged, defective, or rejected products to management.
- Assist in warehouse investigations concerning shipment or inventory issues.
- Operate and maintain material handling equipment.
- Assist in maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment.
- Complete required training and maintain certifications.
- Perform warehouse activities supporting 5S, housekeeping, security, and EH&S standards.
- Report any safety or operational issues to management.
- Assist in supervision of visiting employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Participate in meetings at various levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience
- 1-2 years of forklift experience for sit down and standup forklifts.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
- Shipping and Receiving experience a plus.
- Experience using high-reach trucks for product selection.
- Teamwork, cooperation, and respect.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with employees, contractors, visitors, and customers.
- Understanding of standard shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes.
- Physical dexterity and aptitude for operating warehouse equipment.
- Certification maintenance for material handling equipment operation.
- Ability to enforce company values and standards confidently.
- Efficient time management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
Working Conditions
- Required to have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20.
- Strong communication skills.
- Full range of motion for standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, or kneeling.
- Ability to perform repetitive strenuous work under varying climate conditions.
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a plant environment with varying temperature and physical requirements.
6am meeting every day, candidate has to be on time. Experience with reach trucks, scanners, and bar coding is required.
