Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Gates, NY
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team in a temp-to-perm role, offering long-term growth potential. In this position, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to operational efficiency.
Shift & Pay:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $18 - 19 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Inspection: Verify and document incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision to meet shipping deadlines.
- Inventory Control: Conduct cycle counts, assist with stock replenishment, and maintain accurate records.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and easily accessible.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.
- System Utilization: Use SAP/ERP systems to track and manage inventory.
- Shipping Coordination: Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping processes is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior warehouse experience is beneficial but not required.
- Forklift Certification: Must be certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and basic proficiency in MS Office.
- Communication: Effective communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to workplace excellence.
