Job Summary: Nesco Resource is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate for a reputable client in Gates, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers the potential for long-term growth within a well-established organization. As a Warehouse Associate, you'll play a key role in supporting daily warehouse functions, including shipping/receiving, inventory control, and order preparation. An integral part of this role includes the ability to accurately read a tape measure to the decimal, ensuring precision when handling and verifying materials. Shift & Pay:

  • Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Mon. - Fri.

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.50/Hr.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving & Inspection: Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality using measuring tools and documentation.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders with precision and care to meet daily shipping deadlines.

  • Measurement Accuracy: Use tape measures to the decimal to confirm dimensions and material specifications as needed.

  • Inventory Control: Conduct cycle counts, manage stock levels, and ensure inventory accuracy through SAP/ERP systems.

  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient storage area.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment.

  • Shipping Coordination: Experience with FedEx and UPS platforms is preferred for outbound processing.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience: Prior warehouse experience preferred but not required.

  • Measurement Skills: Must be able to accurately read a tape measure to the decimal—this is essential to the role.

  • Forklift Certification: Current certification or willingness to obtain one.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, walking, and bending tasks throughout the shift.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Communication: Effective communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.

  • Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and committed to operational excellence.
