Overview
Client is seeking a Workday Security Administrator to develop, implement, configure, and support Workday security solutions across assigned environments and business functions. This role partners with technical and business stakeholders to maintain secure Workday operations, support audits, resolve issues, and help evaluate platform enhancements.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, configure, implement, and support Workday security solutions across assigned environments and business functions.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability, and resolve issues affecting operations or user experience.
- Support Workday security audits and internal access control certification processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Analyze problems, identify root causes, and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
- Apply recommended information security standards in solution design, configuration, and code development.
- Seek validation to ensure alignment with corporate Risk and Information Technology Security policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce risk, or lower cost.
- Evaluate Workday releases, new features, and leading practices, and recommend adoption opportunities.
- Explain security dependencies, impacts, and constraints to technical and business stakeholders.
- Support Workday integrations, reporting, and data movement tools used within the platform.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, training, and ongoing professional development.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 or more years of applied Workday experience supporting and configuring end-to-end security across functions such as Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Finance, or Procurement.
- Strong knowledge of the Workday security model, including security groups, business process security, report security, and integration security.
- Experience supporting Workday integrations, reporting, and data movement tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support system releases, impact analysis, testing, and release activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to create and maintain clear system documentation for technical and business audiences.
- Familiarity with REST or SOAP APIs, integration frameworks, and single sign-on technologies.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Familiarity with EIBs and related integration concepts.
- Workday Pro Certification.
- Workday Prism Analytics experience.
Work Details
- Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week onsite.
- Position can be based in Cleveland, OH; Buffalo, NY; or Albany, NY.
- Must be in Central or Eastern time zones.
- Contract expected to run from July 6, 2026 through January 8, 2027
