Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating high-quality aluminum and steel components. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, metal fabrication experience, and takes pride in producing quality workmanship in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
· Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel components.
· Fabricate and assemble architectural metal products according to blueprints and work orders.
· Read and interpret fabrication drawings and engineering prints.
· Prepare materials for welding by measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting components.
· Inspect welds for quality, strength, and appearance to ensure specifications are met.
· Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment.
· Assist with general metal fabrication and shop production as workload requires.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
· Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years of recent MIG and TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
· Experience welding aluminum, and stainless steel. Carbon steel is a plus.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
· Experience fabricating and assembling metal products.
· Knowledge of measuring tools, shop math, and precision layouts.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality welds.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with architectural metal fabrication.
· Forklift experience or certification.
· Experience operating fabrication equipment such as saws, ironworkers, press brakes, or shears.
· AWS welding certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work throughout an entire shift.
· Frequently lift up to 55 pounds.
· Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment around welding and fabrication equipment.
