Qualifications:

• Five years' experience in a job shop welding position doing Mig, Tig, and Sub Arc welding.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to hand tools required for position.
• Must have solid drawing, make layouts, fit up weldments and finish weld per drawings.
• Must be physically able to: work 4–5 hours, bend for extended time, able to work in areas requiring bending, stooping, turning, twisting, etc.

Primary Duties:

• Must read and interpret detailed blueprints and perform highly diversified work in welding a wide variety of various steel fabrications.
• Cutting, grinding, and preparing material for welding.
• Use of different weld methods: mig, welding electrodes, preheat, weld, post-heat, straighten, bend, etc.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean.

Secondary Duties:

• Diagnostic checking of machines controls.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Instruct or train new operators.

Rate: Starting rate will depend upon individual's qualifications.
