Nesco Resource is hiring experienced Welders!

We are seeking skilled Welders for a full-time opportunity in a precast concrete manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for welding and fabricating steel components, reinforcement materials, forms, and other structural components used in the production of precast concrete products.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core welding on structural steel and reinforcement components.
• Weld and fabricate rebar, steel frames, embeds, plates, brackets, and other components used in precast concrete production.
• Assemble and weld reinforcing steel cages according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, measurements, and weld symbols.
• Measure, cut, bend, fit, and prepare steel materials for welding and fabrication.
• Perform tack welding and final welding to ensure components are properly positioned and secured.
• Assist with the fabrication, repair, and modification of steel forms and molds used for concrete production.
• Use grinders, cutting torches, saws, drills, and other hand and power tools.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, penetration, and accuracy.
• Repair defective welds and make adjustments as necessary.
• Work around cranes, forklifts, concrete production equipment, and other heavy machinery.
• Follow all required PPE, Lockout/Tagout, OSHA, and facility safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized welding and fabrication area.
• Assist production and maintenance teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous welding or metal fabrication experience required or strongly preferred.
• Experience with MIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core welding.
• Experience welding rebar, structural steel, or heavy fabrication is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, tape measures, and weld symbols.
• Experience using grinders, torches, saws, and fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of proper welding techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment.
• Must be comfortable working around concrete, dust, noise, heavy equipment, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift materials throughout the shift.
• Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
