Welder Fabricator

A shift 5am – 3:30pm B shift 8am – 5:30pm
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to support fabrication and production operations. This role involves MIG welding, reading detailed blueprints, and ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications. Candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy.Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding using flux-core wire (1/16th) on steel and metal components.
- Fabricate and assemble parts by cutting, bending, tacking, and welding materials to specification.
- Read and interpret blueprints, including weld symbols, to complete weld tests and production work accurately.
- Measure materials using standard tools (tape measures, squares, levels) to ensure precision.
- Prepare materials for welding by cleaning and positioning components.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform basic troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on MIG welding experience, preferably in a production or structural environment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols.
- Strong knowledge of measurements and use of measuring tools.
- Experience working with fabrication equipment and tools.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
Equipment & Safety Requirements
Candidates must provide their own weld helmet and steel-toed boots.
PPE: Safety glasses, ear protection, weld gloves/sleeves are provided (optional weld jackets must be self-supplied).
