As a Warehouse Person, your responsibility will be to manage the material transfer within the *** manufacturing operation. Depending on your placement within the operation, this could include shipping receiving, material put away and material delivery. Regardless of the area of the warehouse, you will be expected to perform the tasks in a timely manner and with accuracy, ensuring material is delivered as needed to both internal and external customers.
Essential skills and duties:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work in different areas of the warehouse as needed.
Be able to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
Accurately identify and count material
Identify and notify team leads or supervisors when material is lost or damaged
Ensure materials stay safely secured and packaged
Keep track of documentation and ensuring materials are properly labeled
Ensure when material is moved in the warehouse, proper transactions are made to keep inventory integrity
Keep a clean and organized environment including sweeping, emptying trash, stacking skids, straightening work areas
Ability to work on your feet during your shift and carry and stack material,
Preferred skills and other duties depending on the area of the warehouse:
Ability and willingness to operate Material Handling Equipment which could include Forklift, Reach Truck and Stock picker – certification will be done at ***
Ability and experience to perform safety checks on material handling equipment and dock equipment
Knowledge and use of scanning equipment to transact material within the warehouse.
Experience to consolidate and pack material to best fill pallets for inbound or outbound shipments
Understanding of warehouse systems (WMS)and use of these types of systems to maintain inventory
Knowledge of computers and the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
