Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join a busy warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is looking for a long-term, temp-to-perm, position and takes pride in staying productive, organized, and engaged throughout the workday.

The Warehouse Associate will be cross-trained across multiple warehouse functions, including receiving, inventory, picking, packaging, shipping, and material handling. The ideal candidate will have a stable warehouse work history, a strong work ethic, and a go-getter mentality — someone who takes initiative, looks for the next task, and can stay productive without needing constant direction.

Pay Rate:

  • $19.00 - $21.00/Hour
    • Candidates with specific, relevant experience may qualify for higher pay!
Shift:
  • Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday | 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM
    • Currently running some overtime
      • Optional Saturday overtime may be available

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick inventory parts according to pick sheets
  • Verify part numbers and quantities during the picking process
  • Record quantities picked and complete required documentation accurately
  • Receive incoming inventory using the First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory method
  • Verify part numbers and quantities on incoming shipments
  • Identify and report discrepancies or damaged materials
  • Clean, inspect, and package finished goods for shipment
  • Process inbound receipts, Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs), and Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) according to established ISO procedures
  • Organize inventory and maintain proper shelving and storage locations
  • Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the facility
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Keep aisles, work areas, and storage locations free of debris and properly organized
  • Cross-train in multiple warehouse functions and provide support where needed
  • Take initiative to identify and complete additional work after assigned tasks are finished
  • Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience with a stable employment history required
  • Proven ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take initiative
  • Ability to learn and cross-train across multiple warehouse functions
  • Basic computer skills, including file navigation and general computer usage
  • Ability to use time clock software and item-scanning systems
  • Understanding of inventory handling and warehouse procedures preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and coworkers in one-on-one and small-group settings
  • Ability to ask questions and communicate inventory, shipping, receiving, or quality concerns appropriately

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to calculate basic rates, ratios, and percentages
  • Ability to interpret basic charts and graphs

Reasoning & Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to daily warehouse situations
  • Ability to identify problems and take appropriate action
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and determine what needs to be done next
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and productivity

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move inventory as required
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to handle and move inventory and finished goods
  • Ability to work in an active warehouse environment

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment with regular exposure to receiving, shipping, inventory storage, and material handling activities
  • Must maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Must follow all company safety policies, warehouse procedures, and ISO requirements
