Job Summary
Build and prepare high-quality valve products that meet the customers needs and ship on time.
Job Description
- Prepare and tool up individual work orders to meet customer ship dates, including washing parts as needed and issuing parts to work orders.
- Assemble and air test standard valves according to established procedures and quality requirements.
- Assemble and adjust air-actuated valves.
- Interpret and follow assembly drawings, work instructions and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe assembly cell by following 5S principles.
- Operate the parts wash system as required.
- Consistently meet established production and quality standards.
- Perform work in accordance with productivity, utilization, scrap and rework standards and goals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to assemble, test and adjust mechanical and air-actuated components.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilities.
- Previous manufacturing, mechanical assembly, valve assembly, or industrial experience is a plus.
