Overview

Client is seeking a UX Researcher to lead mixed-method research across a complex hardware and software ecosystem, including consumer IoT applications, heavy-equipment controls, and technical B2B portals. This role will own the full research lifecycle and translate qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable product insights.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end qualitative and quantitative UX research initiatives.
  • Design research plans, methodologies, study materials, and participant recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct contextual inquiries, user interviews, usability testing, and other mixed-method studies.
  • Research diverse B2B and B2C user groups across digital interfaces and physical environments.
  • Analyze and synthesize research data into clear findings, recommendations, and actionable insights.
  • Communicate findings through data-driven storytelling to Product, Engineering, and UX Design teams.
  • Support research involving consumer IoT applications, smart devices, heavy-equipment controls, and technical portals.
  • Champion user needs and accessible design practices throughout the product development process.
  • Maintain and manage research findings within a centralized research repository.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Hands-on UX research experience across the complete research lifecycle.
  • Experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Experience with contextual inquiry, usability testing, user interviews, participant recruitment, and research synthesis.
  • Experience researching both B2B and B2C user populations.
  • Experience working across integrated hardware and software experiences.
  • Experience studying IoT, smart device, connected product, or physical control workflows.
  • Ability to translate complex research data into actionable product recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and UX Design teams.
  • Experience managing or contributing to a centralized research repository.
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design practices.
