Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and hardworking Utility Worker to support our onsite fleet operations. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and readiness of company vehicles while assisting with routine fleet maintenance tasks and facility support. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and contributes to a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) years of experience related to vehicle maintenance, detailing, fleet support, or similar job functions, or equivalent experience.
- General knowledge of fuels, lubricants, vehicle maintenance practices, safety procedures, and cleaning materials.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, and crawl as required to perform job duties.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and wash the interior and exterior of company vehicles.
- Report end-of-day (EOD) mileage for all vehicles.
- Detail an agreed-upon number of vehicles each month.
- Check and maintain vehicle fluid levels, including engine oil, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), coolant, and windshield washer fluid.
- Close and secure the office and shop at the end of the workday.
- Ensure vehicle emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and body fluid kits, is stocked and in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and maintenance activities.
- Inspect and document vehicle damage and communicate findings to management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist team members with operational tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and around vehicles and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the workday.
