Summary:
Grind and dress welds. Complete work orders in an economical and productive manner to meet manufacturing schedules and quality requirements. Work toward continuous quality and product flow improvement.
Essential Functions:
· Work from shop floor controls to direct employee on procedure to complete sfc.
· Grind and dress welds.
· Fill out daily scrap sheets.
· Separate scrap by material and empty into appropriate containers.
· Complete shop orders as scheduled.
· Follow company and OSHA safety standards.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
· Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
· Able to identify various material types and gauges.
· Able to read, write, understand and follow verbal and written English instructions to satisfactorily execute job requirements.
· Able to work around moving equipment and operate forklifts.
· Able to get along with others and supervision.
· Able to react to change productively and perform other tasks as assigned.
· Ability to get along with others and supervision and must have a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
· High school education or equivalent.
· Must not be afraid to work with and around moving machinery and equipment.
Work Environment:
· Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 7 AM -3:30 PM. May work weekends and extended daily hours as required.
· May be exposed to noise levels to 110dB, dust and fumes. Will come into contact with light oil, marking oils, paint and dirt.
· Personal Protection Equipment required to include but not limited to steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection.
· Temperature range from 60 – 105 degrees winter and summer with humidity as high as 95% at times in summer months.
Physical Demands:
· The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: Sitting, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling weights up to 75 lbs. Frequently bending and stooping.
