HONAUT Req# HONAUTJP00008371 1 Position 1st Shift standard schedule with some flexibility (e.g., 8:00 AM 4:00 PM) Pay Rate: *** - ***/hr (based on experience) Position Summary Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates complex electronic control systems for Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) gas turbine engines within ***. This role supports the entire lifecycle of electronic hardware from design and integration through production support and sustaining engineering. You will work within the APU Control Systems engineering organization focusing on Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and other airborne electronic hardware. Responsibilities include engineering change support, drawing revisions, obsolescence mitigation, integration tasks, supplier communication, DO 254 compliance, and resolving production support cases. Key Responsibilities Production & Factory Support Resolve production support cases and release associated Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Provide technical substantiation for design or component changes. Support project engineers with workload management for production support. Collaborate with Component Engineering, Mechanical, Certification, Test Services, Configuration Management, and Data Management teams. Design & Integration Review and maintain Approved Source List (ASL) and build to print drawings for supplier compliance. Ensure product level requirements align with system level or customer requirements. Integrate hardware designs into APU control system architectures. Support design updates for obsolescence, product improvements, and lifecycle changes. Communication & Component Management Act as engineering interface with suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Support schedule planning, supplier milestone tracking, and program timeline integration. Author and maintain coordination memos, logs, and technical communications. Compliance Support design assurance activities for Airborne Electronic Hardware (DO 254). Support nuclear hardening design assurance activities when required. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Systems Engineering. 2 years of experience with aerospace electronic hardware or other safety critical systems. Hands on experience with CCAs/PCBs (design, troubleshooting, sustainment). Experience with circuit analysis/modeling tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB). Experience writing engineering substantiation or change-justification documentation. Experience with electronic hardware testing and troubleshooting. Ability to interpret technical drawings and configuration controlled documentation. Experience supporting production or release of engineering changes. Strong communication skills with suppliers and cross functional engineering teams. US Person Desired Qualifications Master s degree in a related engineering discipline. Experience with DO 254 design assurance. Experience with ECUs, sensors, actuators, or engine/APU control systems. Experience with component obsolescence management. Familiarity with DO 160 environmental testing. Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers. Experience with radiation tolerant or nuclear hardened hardware. TIME KEEPING Worker will utilize TWB for weekly time reporting.
