Position Summary

The Production Process Operator is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, and following all food safety and workplace safety procedures. This role helps ensure products are produced efficiently while meeting established quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor processing equipment throughout the production shift.
  • Prepare machinery for production by completing start-up and shutdown procedures.
  • Load materials and verify ingredients are used according to production requirements.
  • Observe equipment performance and make minor adjustments to maintain efficient operation.
  • Complete routine cleaning, inspections, and basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Record production information, quality checks, and operational data accurately.
  • Report equipment issues, product concerns, or safety hazards to supervision promptly.
  • Assist with product changeovers and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Follow all company policies regarding food safety, sanitation, quality, and employee safety.
  • Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
  • Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Bend, reach, climb stairs or ladders, and perform repetitive tasks as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment while using required personal protective equipment.
