Torque Converter Associate

Camelback Rd & 43rd Avenue, Phoenix, AZ
Shift:
1st Shift — 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Urgent Need — Bilingual Preferred
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Torque Converter Associate to support production and assembly operations. This role involves hands-on work with components, tools, and equipment while following established production and quality standards. Light welding experience is a strong plus but is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and work with torque converter components according to established procedures
- Use hand tools and production equipment safely and accurately
- Perform basic mechanical assembly and component fitting
- Inspect parts and completed products for quality and accuracy
- Follow written and visual work instructions
- Assist with basic welding-related tasks when trained and qualified
- Identify and report defective, damaged, or incorrect components
- Meet daily production and quality expectations
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation
- Follow all safety procedures and required production standards
- Work closely with leads and other team members to meet department goals
Requirements
- Mechanical or hands-on production experience preferred
- Light welding experience is a strong plus, but not required
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, automotive, or production experience is preferred
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and equipment
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and stable work history
- Ability to perform repetitive hands-on tasks
- Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Must be available to work Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not required
Preferred Qualities
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic welding knowledge or experience
- Automotive or manufacturing background
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Willingness to learn new production processes and equipment
