Toolmaker / Manual Machinist
Location: Oxford, CT

Are you an experienced Toolmaker or Manual Machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality precision parts? We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to join a growing manufacturing team. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, and Protrak milling machines.
• Manufacture tooling, fixtures, and precision-machined components.
• Machine parts to close tolerances while maintaining high quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work independently while collaborating with engineering and production teams to meet project goals.

• Minimum of 3 years of Toolmaker or Manual Machinist experience.
• Experience operating:
  • Manual lathes
  • Bridgeport mills
  • Protrak milling machines
• Ability to machine precision parts to tight tolerances.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and inspection methods.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes.

• Experience building tools and fixtures.
• Prototype or short-run production experience.
• Casting experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to pass a preemployment screening
