Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced  Tool & Die Maker  to join our team. This position is approximately  80% Tool & Die work, with a strong focus on building, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and reverse-engineering complex tooling and die rings.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with complex tooling and be comfortable taking projects from start to finish. Experience with older equipment and troubleshooting challenging tooling issues is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot complex tooling and die rings.

  • Reverse-engineer tooling and develop solutions for tooling issues.

  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints and tooling drawings.

  • Set up and operate various machines and equipment.

  • Perform grinding, machining, setup, and tooling adjustments.

  • Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues to identify root causes and make repairs.

  • Work with dies, punches, fixtures, forming tools, and related tooling.

  • Support progressive, draw, trim, and pierce tooling.

  • Work with tooling projects from initial setup through completion.

  • Perform machine setups and offsets as needed.

  • Work effectively with older machinery and equipment.

  • Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the tooling process.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of hands-on Tool & Die experience preferred.

  • Candidates with  1–2+ years of relevant experience may be considered  for the right fit.

  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.

  • Hands-on machine setup and offset experience.

  • Experience with grinding and tooling repair.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience working with complex dies, punches, fixtures, and forming tools.

  • Experience with progressive, draw, trim, or pierce tooling is highly valuable.

  • Ability to work tooling projects from start to finish.

  • Comfortable troubleshooting older equipment and complex tooling issues.

  • CNC programming is not required  and can be trained; machine setup and offset experience are more important.
