Overview

Client is seeking a Test Lead / Test Coordinator to support testing activities across the Data Supply Chain organization. This role will coordinate test planning, execution, defect management, environment readiness, and status reporting across multiple projects, teams, systems, and releases. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience bringing structure, visibility, governance, and follow-through to complex enterprise testing initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate test planning, schedules, readiness, and execution across multiple projects, releases, systems, and environments.
  • Maintain a reliable test calendar covering testing cycles, environment availability, dependencies, and impacted downstream teams.
  • Partner with project managers, technology leads, testers, application teams, business partners, and downstream stakeholders.
  • Track test execution, blocked tests, defects, retesting requirements, open risks, and completion status.
  • Support the creation and organization of test plans, test cases, test scripts, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure testing activities are traceable, complete, and aligned with project scope.
  • Coordinate defect triage, follow-up, resolution, and retesting activities.
  • Maintain accurate testing status, issues, defects, and reporting in Jira or similar tools.
  • Communicate testing progress, blockers, risks, dependencies, and decision needs.
  • Identify missing coverage, planning conflicts, environment risks, and downstream impacts.
  • Develop and document testing strategies, governance routines, reporting expectations, resourcing needs, process flows, and operating models.
  • Improve testing consistency through repeatable processes, dashboards, reporting practices, and automation opportunities.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Experience in a Test Lead, Test Coordinator, Quality Assurance, technology delivery, or project execution role.
  • Experience coordinating testing across complex technology initiatives, shared environments, and integrated systems.
  • Strong understanding of test planning, test case management, test execution, defect tracking, retesting, and completion reporting.
  • Experience developing and documenting testing strategies, governance processes, reporting expectations, resourcing plans, and process improvements.
  • Experience managing multiple testing cycles, priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience with Jira or a similar Agile or project-tracking tool.
  • Ability to identify testing gaps, risks, dependencies, incomplete coverage, and downstream impacts.
  • Experience providing clear testing status, defect, risk, and execution reporting.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with technical teams, project managers, application owners, testers, business partners, and downstream consumers.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience with enterprise data, data integration, batch processing, interface testing, or downstream data consumption.
  • Experience coordinating testing across multiple applications, workstreams, or environments.
  • Experience with test dashboards, reporting metrics, execution tracking, and defect aging reports.
  • Experience with QV or similar non-production testing environments.
  • Experience supporting integration testing, regression testing, release testing, or production-readiness validation.
  • Familiarity with test automation opportunities involving execution, reporting, or evidence capture.
  • Understanding of data movement, upstream and downstream dependencies, job execution, and operational impacts.
  • Experience with SQL, GCP, and Python for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, or testing.
