Overview
Client is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for computer systems, hardware, software, and user accounts. This role focuses on troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining system functionality, and assisting employees with technology-related needs.
The successful candidate will support day-to-day IT operations by installing and maintaining hardware and software, resolving user issues, coordinating with vendors when needed, and contributing to system documentation and user training.
Core Responsibilities
• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Document, maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware and software systems as needed.
• Support and maintain user account information, including rights, security settings, and system groups.
• Provide routine analysis and problem resolution for network and PC software, hardware, and peripheral issues.
• Coordinate with hardware and software vendors to obtain service and support when necessary.
• Install computer hardware, software, and peripherals for new employees.
• Install new software packages and perform software upgrades.
• Assist with password management and assignment activities.
• Support the development of system documentation and procedural manuals.
• Facilitate and conduct training sessions for employees on software and hardware systems.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Skills or Experience
• Associate degree, two-year degree, or equivalent education.
• General knowledge of a wide variety of software, hardware, and PC operating systems.
