Overview
Client is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on computer deployment, desktop troubleshooting, hardware support, and end-user technical assistance. This role will deploy new computers, evaluate and refurbish existing equipment for redeployment, resolve desktop hardware/software/network issues, and support workstation moves and technology upgrades.
Core Responsibilities
- Deploy new computers to end users.
- Evaluate, refurbish, and redeploy existing computers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user problems at the desktop.
- Independently resolve PC hardware break-fix issues, software problems, network connectivity issues, and questions involving third-party applications.
- Coordinate with appropriate subject matter experts when assistance is required for Client proprietary applications.
- Assist Project Managers with end-to-end destination moves and hardware/software upgrades.
- Participate in client interviews and technology evaluations and provide technical recommendations.
- Support development of integration requirements and application configuration/distribution.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide onsite resource management, technical training, and Day One support during deployments and upgrades.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Knowledge of PC hardware, software, and networking.
- Hands-on desktop troubleshooting and end-user support experience.
- Experience resolving hardware break-fix issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity and application-related problems.
- Experience deploying, refurbishing, or redeploying computers.
- Experience supporting hardware and software upgrades.
