Client is seeking a System Integration Test Engineer to support the integration, verification, and testing of software-intensive systems within a Hardware-in-the-Loop system integration laboratory. This role will own multiple system capabilities from requirements decomposition through test development, execution, anomaly resolution, failure-mode testing, and test automation.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the integration and testing activities for multiple assigned system capabilities.
- Decompose system requirements and develop test cases that verify each requirement.
- Perform manual system testing within a Hardware-in-the-Loop system integration laboratory.
- Record test results using the designated test log tool.
- Create anomaly reports for defects and issues identified during testing.
- Partner with software engineers to document, troubleshoot, and resolve anomaly reports.
- Develop and execute failure-mode testing for assigned capabilities.
- Support the development and implementation of automated system tests.
- Help the test automation team translate manual test scenarios into automated test coverage.
- Develop and communicate long-term hardware integration strategies.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- 10 years of experience integrating and/or testing software-intensive systems within a Hardware-in-the-Loop system integration laboratory.
- 5 years of experience with one or more tracking and development tools, including JIRA, GitLab, or GitHub.
- 5 years of experience with Eggplant, Cucumber, or Python.
- 5 years of experience with Omniview and Mission Planning concepts of operations.
- Experience developing requirements-based system test cases.
- Experience performing system integration, manual testing, failure-mode testing, and anomaly investigation.
- Ability to develop and communicate long-term hardware integration strategies.
- Active Secret clearance with an investigation completed within the last 5 years and Continuous Evaluation enrollment.
- Required special access must be in place before starting.
