Overview

Client is seeking an Oracle Global Data Warehouse Senior Analyst to support an enterprise data warehouse environment serving finance, procurement, reporting, and analytical applications. This role is primarily focused on production support, advanced SQL troubleshooting, data warehouse operations, ETL processes, data security, and coordination of offshore technical teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide production support for the Oracle Global Data Warehouse and related reporting and analytical applications.
  • Investigate, coordinate, and resolve complex data, application, integration, and system issues.
  • Write complex SQL queries from scratch and optimize or enhance existing queries.
  • Analyze stored procedures, troubleshoot performance issues, and collaborate with database administrators on performance recommendations.
  • Support data warehouse and ETL processes across Oracle, Hyperion, Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and related applications.
  • Oversee deployments, customizations, enhancements, process changes, and technical support activities.
  • Ensure system development, change control, audit, compliance, and cybersecurity standards are followed.
  • Support system upgrades, acquisitions, technology expansions, and legacy system integrations.
  • Lead and coordinate offshore technical teams, providing direction, oversight, and quality control.
  • Ensure technical deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Partner with business users, technical teams, infrastructure teams, and external support partners.
  • Support business processes involving finance, accounts receivable, credit, procurement, project accounting, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay.
  • Lead intake discussions, communicate technical recommendations, and present relevant information to leadership.
  • Proactively identify issues, correct errors early, and recommend system enhancements, process improvements, or replacement solutions.
  • Maintain ITIL artifacts, CMDB records, knowledge articles, architecture diagrams, audit documentation, disaster recovery documentation, and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT architecture resources to define and maintain application roadmaps.
  • Manage small to large projects, including requirements, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Allocate approximately 70% of responsibilities to production support and 30% to project work.
  • Support stakeholder engagement consisting of approximately 40% leading intake calls, 10% presenting to leadership, and 50% managing offshore teams.
  • Operate with approximately 90% ownership, with some guidance from a more senior team member.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Advanced proficiency writing and executing SQL.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries from scratch and optimize existing queries.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Working knowledge of ETL processes.
  • Working knowledge of data security concepts.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, independent problem-solving, thought leadership, ownership, and accountability in previous roles.
  • Experience investigating and resolving complex production data or application issues.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate offshore technical resources.
  • Ability to provide oversight for deployments, enhancements, and technical deliverables.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and their potential impact on applications and data.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • 2 or more years of experience supporting data warehouse solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle ERP environments.
  • Experience with Oracle R12 (12.2).
  • Experience with Oracle 19c databases.
  • Experience with PL/SQL and stored procedure analysis.
  • Experience with SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Working knowledge of Linux environments.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP modules supporting Finance, Project Accounting, Procurement, Order-to-Cash, or Procure-to-Pay.
  • Experience supporting data feeds or integrations involving Hyperion, Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, or other reporting and visualization platforms.
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience working as a member of a project team.
  • Experience evaluating alternate technical solutions.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, written communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Work Details

  • Work location: 201 Isabella Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15212, or an assigned plant location.
  • Corporate office schedule: Hybrid, with onsite work Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Plant location schedule: Onsite Monday through Friday.
  • First-shift Eastern Time schedule, with working hours falling between a 7:00 a.m. start and a 6:00 p.m. end.
