Overview

Client is seeking a Staining Software Engineer Associate to design and develop staining procedures in partnership with assay development teams. This role will create software supplements used to install staining procedures, manage the supporting database elements within diagnostic applications, and deliver high-quality software solutions in a regulated environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain software solutions for diagnostic applications.
  • Develop staining procedures in close partnership with assay development teams.
  • Create software supplements used to install and support staining procedures.
  • Manage the database elements required to support staining procedures within software applications.
  • Integrate software solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Perform software testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure software deliverables comply with medical software regulations, industry standards, and established quality requirements.
  • Manage competing priorities and complete deliverables within established timelines.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • 0–5 years of experience.
  • Four-year degree.
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.
  • Experience or knowledge related to application databases and supporting database elements.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and build productive cross-functional partnerships.
  • Understanding of software development best practices and quality standards.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another engineering discipline.
  • Biology or Chemistry educational background.
  • Experience developing medical device software.
